The iconic drama, The Bridge returned over the weekend, and I was thrilled to see it’s lost none of it’s raw beauty or cinematic noir gorgeousness. Ignoring Saga’s stunning classic Porsche 911 for the moment (which is one of my all time favourite cars) I instantly spotted a few perfectly cast Saabs.
Set between Copenhagen and Malmö, I should have expected nothing less, but it’s always great to see the odd Saab pop up, a classic red 99 a 9-5 Police SportCombi, and we’re only on the second episode, more please.
I know this blog is all about Saabs, but a classic Porsche sitting next to our 9-3s, that would work.
This is one for all car lovers, not just Saabs. It’s a short film I was shown a few years ago and fell in love with, just an amazing bit of automotive footage.
It’s called Rendezvous and filmed exclusively through the streets of Paris.
Although there have been endless arguments as to what car was used, you’ll soon know it wasn’t a Saab (just listen). However, that doesn’t stop me wishing I could hop in my 9-3 and blast though the very same route.
All I can say is wow! Surely anyone that watches this sixty second film for the SAAB 9-5 saloon would be tempted to at least test drive one. Having had a 9-5 Aero as a loan car recently I can honestly say, that as good as the film is, the SAAB exceeded my expectations. I’d love to see a film of this quality for the 9-3 too.
